How to Quickly Sell Domain Names
When people speak of Internet real-estate, what they're talking about is domain names. To most users, domains are simply Web addresses. But they can also be conceptualized as online property, which can be bought and sold for profit. When selling domains, it's generally profitable to take your time, finding a customer who will pay what the domain name is worth. Sometimes, however, you've got to sell quickly. In instances like this, there's no faster option than the online auction.
Instructions
Difficulty:
Step 1
Go to an online auction site. If you are trying to sell a fully developed website, it's generally best to use a generic auction site such as eBay. If you're trying to sell an undeveloped domain, specialized domain auction sites like Sedo.com will often turn a better profit, as Internet developers pay close attention to such sites.
Step 2
Login to the site. If you do not already have an account, first register. Because these sites deal with the transfer of money, expect to either give your financial information to them or a third party money transfer site, such as PayPal.
Step 3
Post your auction. Most sites will give you a choice of durations, ranging from one day to several weeks. If you're in a hurry to sell, you might choose the shortest time frame available. Note, however, that the longer you have your auction posted, the more attention it will receive and the greater the probability that it will be bid on. The more bids it receives, the more it will sell for.
