How to Disable DNS Lookup
DNS stands for "domain name system," and it refers to all of the naming and owner information that pertains to a particular website. When Internet Explorer has DNS lookup (meaning it is looking up this information for every site you visit) turned on, it may cause pages to load slower especially on slower connections. You can disable DNS lookup at any time by going through Internet Explorer's "options" screen.
