How To Buy Domain Names from Google
Registering a domain name secures your online presence, whether you're purchasing it for your business or to create your own personal website. The search engine Google offers domain name registration. When purchasing a domain name through Google, you receive private domain name registration, DNS (Domain Name System) control and management, automatic domain renewal services, domain locking to prevent unauthorized transfers and integrated Google apps including email, calendar and instant messaging services. As of June 2010, Google offers domain names for $10 per year.

Step 1
Log into your Google Checkout account or sign up for one by visiting the Google Checkout page. Google requires you to have a Google Checkout account in order to purchase a domain name.
Step 2
Visit the Google Apps web page and select "I want to buy a domain name."
Step 3
Type in your desired domain name in the text box. Choose the domain name extension from the drop-down box. Choices available are .com, .org, .biz, .net or .info. Press "Check Availability" to see if your choice is available for purchase.
Step 4
Select an alternative domain name from Google's recommended selections or type in a new domain name in the text box if your original choice is not available. Click "Continue" after making your selection.
Step 5
Read the details of your domain name purchase. Click "Continue to Registration" when finished.
Step 6
Enter your registration information, including your name and address. Read the terms of service and click the check box next to "I have read the eNom Universal Terms of Service" when finished. Click "I Accept. Proceed to Google Checkout."
Step 7
Type in your Google Checkout login credentials and click "Continue."
Step 8
Confirm your domain purchase details. If satisfied, click "Place Your Order Now--$10.00" to register your domain name.
