How to Become a Domain Reseller for an Existing Registrar

Domain names are great investments and can make resellers quite a bit of money.

Becoming a domain reseller for a registrar is a simple way to get started in the domain selling business. Being a domain reseller involves you paying a yearly fee for the right to purchase discounted domains. The actual numbers vary depending on which registrar you sign up with, so you would be smart to shop around before spending too much time and effort promoting something that may not being paying you the same as another registrar.

Instructions

Difficulty: 1

Step 1

Find the link on your preferred registrar dealing with domain reselling. The bottom of the page is often a good place to find this, as is the search field. These aren't often advertised in a visible place, so you may have to do a bit of searching.

Step 2

Search your favorite search engine for "domain reseller" to get results that you may not have considered when you visited your favorite registrars (or the most common ones).

Step 3

Find the site with the best terms and sign up.

Step 4

Pay your fee. This fee is usually yearly, although some places allow you to pay monthly. Always see if there is a discount for enrolling in the program for multiple years. Don't tie yourself up for too long, in case something better comes along.

Step 5

Buy domains, or allow people to buy domains through your reseller page.
